Jordi Ferre’s career spans more than 30 years of executive leadership in the global food and ingredients industry. From Fortune 500 companies to groundbreaking food-tech ventures, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to drive growth, lead innovation, and manage complex multinational operations.
He began his career with Gruma, one of the world's largest producers of corn flour and tortillas, where he quickly rose through the ranks, holding key leadership positions in Latin America and the United States. His tenure was marked by significant expansion initiatives, operational improvements, and market diversification strategies.
Jordi later joined Tate & Lyle, a global leader in ingredients and food solutions, where he served as Vice President and General Manager for Latin America and subsequently took on broader global responsibilities. There, he led strategic business units focused on sweeteners and specialty food ingredients, overseeing commercial strategy, innovation pipelines, and customer partnerships across multiple continents.
In 2017, Jordi was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Meatless Farm, a fast-growing plant-based protein company based in the UK. Under his leadership, the company expanded its international footprint, strengthened its retail and foodservice partnerships, and increased its focus on sustainability and product development.
Most recently, Jordi served as CEO of MycoTechnology, a Colorado-based food-tech company leveraging the power of mushrooms to create clean-label food ingredients. In this role, he spearheaded global expansion, established strategic joint ventures, and secured investment partnerships that positioned the company as a leading innovator in the alternative protein and functional ingredients space.
